    DAA operates out of a modern facility constructed in 2015. Located at the Greater Sudbury Airport (CYSB) the building has plenty of office and classroom space and a 21,500 square foot hangar floor. DAA also has its own Approved Maintenance Organization with 5 full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineers on site.

Discovery Aviation Academy will be holding a ground school starting January 7th, 2014. The course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and is designed to accommodate both Private Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence students.

"I like the use of humour, alternate examples, videos, and demonstrations with props. Problem scenarios have been helpful as we've had to use the information just learned to solve a problem. This makes it less of a memorizing thing. Examples of personal experiences also have a really positive effect on the learning experience."
