The main differences between a Recreational Pilot Permit (RPP) and the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) involve the privileges that come with each option. With a RPP the biggest airplane you can fly is a four-seater, but you are only allowed to carry one passenger. With a PPL you are able to achieve additional ratings to fly bigger airplanes and in different conditions such as at night or in cloud.
